Exhibition Stall Design & Fabrication in India: What Works in 2026
A great stall is architecture, brand and theatre in one. Whether you are exhibiting at Pragati Maidan Delhi, BEC Mumbai, BIEC Bengaluru or HITEX Hyderabad, here is what separates a stall that pulls a crowd from one that gathers dust — and how to brief a fabricator without getting burned.
Design for the hall's sight-lines
Great stall design starts with the floor plan, not the render. Where are the entrances, the food court, the main aisles? Your hero graphic and silhouette should be readable from 30 metres away in your specific hall, not in a generic 3D visualisation.
Corner and island stalls need double-sided branding. Row stalls need a strong overhead sign because visitors approach parallel to your fascia. The right decision here is worth more than any material upgrade.
Fabricate with your own crew
Studios that own their workshop and install crew — not just designers who sub-contract — deliver on time. Ask to visit the workshop in Noida, Gurgaon or Bhiwadi before you sign, and ask to meet the site supervisor who will actually run your install.
Sub-contracted crews often reveal themselves at 2am the night before opening, when a graphic panel doesn't fit and there is no one on-site with authority to fix it.
What to check on the workshop visit
CNC and carpentry capacity in-house. Print production (or a trusted printer within 20 km). Reusable modular systems for repeat exhibitors. A named project manager for your build, not a rotating pool.
Plan for opening morning, not just design day
AV, lighting, freight, hall power, drayage, last-mile fixes — the stall that opens on time and fully functional works because someone owned the on-ground checklist, not just the render.
Insist on a pre-show run-sheet with named responsibilities and phone numbers, printed and pinned in the stall for the entire crew.
Sustainability without losing impact
Modular reusable frames, fabric prints instead of vinyl, LED lighting and recyclable substrates now match custom builds on impact — often at lower total cost for brands that exhibit 3+ times a year.
For repeat exhibitors in India Expo Mart, BEC and BIEC, a modular kit paid off within 3 shows in our experience.
Lead capture is part of the design
Design a specific spot in the stall for lead capture — a tablet at the counter, a QR wall, a demo pod. Stalls that don't design for lead capture end up with a pile of business cards and no follow-up cadence.
How much does an exhibition stall cost in India?
Custom stalls in India typically cost ₹8,000–18,000 per sqm depending on materials, AV and finish. A 50 sqm premium stall usually lands ₹6–9 lakh all-in.
Which Indian cities do you build exhibition stalls in?
Pan-India — Delhi NCR (Pragati Maidan, India Expo Mart), Mumbai (BEC), Bengaluru (BIEC), Hyderabad (HITEX), Chennai (CTC) and Ahmedabad.
How early should we start stall design before a show?
Ideally 10–12 weeks before opening day. Anything under 6 weeks limits material choice, drives freight costs up, and typically compromises install quality.
